What you Should Know About Therapy
Therapy, also known as counseling is an opportunity to explore your challenges, thoughts, and feelings in a safe, confidential setting. It means you need help, are asking for help, and want to feel better. Perhaps your current situation feels overwhelming and your day-to-day coping strategies are no longer working or feel unhealthy. Maybe you have forgotten your strengths or need help identifying them. Maybe you need more tools in your emotional toolbox. Whatever your situation, therapy can help make you feel better.
My free 15-minute phone consultation will explore your needs (I will ask what are you looking for help with), and together we will determine if my services would be a good fit for you (I will share more about my work, my rate and check-in with you about how it is all sounding and if you think this is the right fit). If you feel like this is a right fit, we will schedule a first session, and I will send you out some information to read over and fill out using a HIPAA compliant system. Sending out information prior to our first session allows us more time to focus on your needs and goals, including answering any questions or concerns you may have.
Therapy can be short-term, or longer-term, depending on your specific issue, and the information that you provide. After an initial assessment, I will make a recommendation. You have the right to agree or disagree with my recommendation.
I currently do not accept insurance. Ask your provider if they cover "out of network" services. I can provide you with an itemized receipt, or superbill for "out of network" services.
I accept cash, check and major credit cards as forms of payment.
Please contact me for any additional questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
